L&D Brown is a locally-owned skip bin business serving the Central Coast, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. We’ve been delivering bins, straight answers and fair prices for more than 40 years, and we plan on another 40.

Our Story

Delivering Bins Since 1981

It started in 1981 with Larry and Diane Brown, one truck, and a promise: turn up when you say you will and charge people fairly.

Forty-plus years later, the fleet’s grown and the trucks have changed, but L&D Brown is still family owned and still run on that same promise. We’re locals serving locals, and most of our work comes from people who’ve used us before, or heard about us over the fence. On the Central Coast, in Newcastle and around Lake Macquarie, there aren’t many streets we haven’t dropped a bin in.

The trucks have changed. The promise hasn't.

What We Stand By

We turn up when we say.

Order before 10am and your bin arrives the same day. Order after 10am and it's guaranteed for the next working day, though we'll usually beat that.

We charge people fairly.

Every bin includes a set weight in the price, so a light load never subsidises a heavy one. You pay for your rubbish, not everyone else's, and every docket shows the exact weight we tipped.

We talk straight.

Call us and you get a local who knows bins, not a call centre reading a script. We'll ask the right questions, recommend the right size, and tell you honestly if you don't need the bigger bin.

We do it properly.

Your waste goes to an EPA-licensed facility for sorting and recycling, not straight into a hole in the ground. We've been part of this community for four decades, we're not about to treat it like a tip.
